Our support is based on person centred values, offering an environment where safety is always a primary factor.
ADHD Coaching believes that no one should ever experience abuse of any kind and the purpose of this policy is to ensure persons supported are protected from harm. If a safeguarding concern should arise, this document sets out what processes will be followed.
Abuse can be caused by those inflicting harm or those who fail to act to prevent harm. Abuse is not restricted to any socio-economic group, gender or culture.
It can take a number of forms, including the following:
• Physical abuse
• Domestic violence and Domestic abuse
• Sexual abuse
• Psychological abuse
• Financial or material abuse
• Modern slavery
• Discriminatory abuse
• Organisational abuse
• Neglect and acts of omission
• Self-neglect
ADHD Coaching mentors have an up-to-date enhanced disclosure barring (DBS) check in place. We actively partake in continued professional development (CPD).
All information is stored securely and professionally.
In order to keep persons safe, information may be shared as legally required with any individuals, bodies or authorities as necessary.
Any concerns will be discussed as appropriate with the person being supported – and their views taken account of with regard to any further actions or decisions. After discussions, any concerns may then be reported to the local authority safeguarding lead and/or the police if deemed necessary and appropriate.
If a person being supported by ADHD Coaching feels it is inappropriate to report to us directly, then we encourage it is reported directly to the local authority / police.

ADHD Coaching Health and Safety Policy
ADHD Coaching supports all clients remotely for all sessions. The health, safety and wellbeing of the person supported is always taken into consideration during these sessions.
We will always offer remote support when situated in a confidential quite space – behind a closed door. This will ensure your privacy and comfort.
We will encourage the person supported to be in a similar environment, so as to make them comfortable and safe during our sessions. We will not conduct any support while a person is otherwise distracted, especially if it presents any danger (such as if driving or operating machinery etc).
Any dangerous situations observed will be addressed accordingly and if necessary a mentoring session will be concluded immediately to ensure the wellbeing of all involved.
